$13,000 raised by Polar Plungers on March 4

The Morris Area High School Unified Club, along with the Special Olympics, hosted a Polar Plunge at Morris Area High School on Monday, March 4.

A “Cool School Mobile Polar Plunge Plungester” unit was used to perform the dunks, and 87 plungers, both students and staff, participated.

Over 10 staff were asked if they would be the incentives to get students to register and fundraise, or just donate to the cause.

The Polar Plunge was a way to demonstrate inclusion in local schools and raise money for the Special Olympics and the MAHS Unified Club.

Some plungers dressed up in unique costumes to take the plunge in, and others wore athletic gear, or tried to bundle up for the chilly water. Over $13,000 was raised with this event!
