The Tiger 18U softball team had a great start to the 2026 summer season, finishing in the top-two in each of their first two tournaments, boasting an 8-2 record. Morris was second in the Crush Kickstart Tournament in Moorhead June 13-14 and won the Down ‘n Dirty Tournament in Eagan June 20-21. 

The 18U Morris softball team started their summer season in Moorhead June 13-14 for the Crush Kickstart Tournament. They dominated pool play, scoring 36 runs, while allowing none on their way to earning the top seed. Mia Asche led the team in pool play, finishing the day with seven hits, six RBI and five runs. On the mound, Addison Smith had two wins with nine strikeouts and Maggy Culbertson had a win with six strikeouts. In bracket play, Morris beat Sartell Blue, MN Venom and lost to West Fargo Impact 3-1 in the championship game. Harmony Coverdale led the team in bracket play with six hits. 

A week later, Morris was back in action June 20-21 for the 35th annual Down ‘n Dirty Tournament in Eagan. It was a slow start with a 7-0 loss to MN Riptide right off the bat, but Morris bounced back with a win over St. Louis Park. Morris earned the second seed from their pool and had to play the top seed Central Wisconsin Voodoo on Sunday and pulled off a 5-1 win to advance to their second straight championship game, where they earned a 12-2 win in four innings against Wayzata Gold. On Sunday, Ashlin Gibson finished the day with four hits and Leah Berlinger added three, all in the championship game.

Next on the schedule, the Tigers will host the Morris Showdown on the Prairie tournament July 17-19 and will also compete in NAFA Nationals in Eden Prairie July 23-26.
