A Memorial Service for Duane H. Hausmann, of Morris will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 26th at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hancock, MN.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, August 25th at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and will continue at church on Monday one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Duane Herbert Hausmann, son of Herbert and Violette (Wark) Hausmann, was born on May 9, 1942, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota.  He grew up on a dairy farm near Kensington where he attended school, graduating with the Class of 1960.  He continued his education at the University of Minnesota Morris, being a member of the first class to attend the college.

On December 8, 1962, he married Bonnie Spencer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hancock.  The couple made their home in Hancock where they raised their family.

Duane was employed as a milk truck driver with Land O’Lakes where he worked for 40 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography.  His greatest joy was his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Duane H. Hausmann died Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home. He was 82 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Morris; sons, Thomas (MaryAnn) of New Berlin, WI, Terry (Lynn) of St. Cloud and Troy (Alice) of Hancock; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gerald of Kensington, David of Glenwood, Dale of Alexandria and LeRoy of Frazee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Violette Hausmann.
