Eloise Joan Ryan (Chapin) passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on September 28, 2024.

 Eloise was born on March 25, 1934 in Staples MN, the fifth of eight children born to Milton and Josephine (Winter) Chapin.

 On April 7, 1956, she married Marvin Ryan in Staples, MN. They moved to Morris, MN, beginning Marvin’s 31-year career with MNDOT. Their retirement years were spent in Backus and Pine River MN.

 Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Marvin on July 16, 2024, infant daughter Mary Eloise, parents Milton and Josephine Chapin, brothers, Burl Chapin, Dale Chapin, Larry Chapin, sisters, Dolores Johnson, Phyllis Peterson, and Gloria Freeman. Eloise is survived by her children, Sheila (Greg) Dahl, Eagan MN, Cheryl Shoquist, Spokane WA, Dennis Ryan, Avon MN, Diane May (Mitchell), Houston TX, Karen (Dave) Bucknell, Spokane WA and Gary (Donna) Ryan, Alexandria MN. Also survived by sister Carol Heldman, sister in law Sherry Chapin, brother and sister in law Thomas and Carole Ryan, and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many family and friends.

Memorial Service 11 AM Monday, October 14th at Klecatsky & Sons Eagan Chapel, 1580 Century Pt., Eagan. Gathering of Family & Friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
