Jeanne Marie Brewer went home to her heavenly Father Monday, August 28, 2023. Jeanne was born March 26, 1950 in Morris, MN to Erwin and Doris Bumann. After graduating high school she worked various jobs working at a factory and cleaning at a local hotel. She met Lee and they married and made their home in Morris for a short time and eventually in Hancock, MN. Three children were blessed to their union. Jeanne stayed home to care for her children and later went to work cleaning and working as a home health aide. Lee and Jeanne later moved to Alexandria after their children were grown.
Jeanne enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. She loved all animals and took in many strays over her lifetime. In her later years she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. She was meticulous with keeping her home clean for her family and is often remembered by friends for her frequent vacuuming. Her Christian faith was an instrumental part of her life that she made sure to pass along to her children and grandchildren.
Jeanne was blessed with 9 grandchildren. When she was able, she loved caring for them and being involved in their lives.
Jeanne was eventually unable to care for herself due to Corticobasal Degeneration and Lee became her full time caregiver.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lee; sister Carol Smith; brother Jeff Bumann; lifelong best friend Vicki Sundheim; 3 children: Heather (Ryan) Luthi of Evansville; Cristy (Travis) Miller of Brainerd; Courtney Brewer of Alexandria; 9 grandchildren: Alivia, Lily, Anna Luthi; Alexa, Aiden, Ethan, Aaron, Ashley Miller; Tianna Brewer.
A private family remembrance is being held.
