Kerry Turck
Kerry L. Turck. 74, of Roy, Utah
passed away unexpectedly at home
on August 9 2023.
She was a beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was born to Alvin and Darlene
Nelson in Morris, Minnesota on
December 16, 1948. She graduated
high school from Morris High School
in 1966 and met the love of her life in
college, Gary D. Turck. They married
on December 13th, 1969 in Morris, Minnesota. They were married
for 53 years. Kerry graduated from St. Cloud State University with
a degree in Elementary Education. She touched many lives with
her love of children and teaching. Kerry and Gary made a home in
several places due to Gary being transferred as a store manager
often. For the last 29 years they have called Utah their home, but
still hold strong to their Minnesota roots.
Our beloved wife and mom was active in her community. She
loved playing cards with her friends at the Roy Area Senior Center,
spending time with her family and friends, crafting, and traveling.
Kerry was an active member at her church, Light of the Valley
Lutheran Church in Layton, Utah. Kerry had the strongest of faiths
and proudly proclaimed her faith in Christ Jesus. We take comfort
in knowing she is having the most joyful reunion in Heaven.
Kerry is survived by her husband, Gary; her daughters, Julie
Gipson (Wayne), Kathie Valentine (Stephen), ; daughter-in-law,
Lois Turck; and grandchildren, Brandon, Alexandra, Christopher,
Grace, and Grant; brother, James Nelson (Linda); sister, Laurie
