“Lights on the Prairie” will make its highly anticipated return this weekend at Pomme de Terre Campground, offering both a drive-through and a walking portion of the event.

This year, the display has expanded with new lights added to the collection, and organizer Tino Harris shared that the event continues to grow, with plans to expand further in the future. While the team is still using lights from Otter Tail Power, they are incorporating new elements as older lights are replaced, ensuring fresh, exciting features for returning visitors.

The event is organized by Harris and Mike Koehler, with the invaluable support of volunteers from the Morris Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and 4-H. The organizers are always looking for more helping hands, and anyone interested in volunteering can reach out to Harris or Koehler during the event to learn how they can contribute.

While there is no admission fee for the event, free-will donations are encouraged to support future growth. For the first weekend, visitors can enjoy hot cocoa served by Riverwood Bank and RUSC Kinship, with the possibility of more cocoa offerings in the coming weekends. The light display will run on December 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Santa Claus is expected to be there each night of the event from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., so bring the whole family for a festive evening.
