The MACA boys basketball welcomed the Class AAA Marshall Tigers to Morris Jan. 17 and were able to take down the bigger school for a 71-61 win over Marshall. MACA did most of their work in the first half of action, building up a double-digit lead 34-24 at the break. MACA went up by 20 early in the second half, but Marshall made MACA work for the win, cutting the gap down to single digits. MACA proved to be too much for Marshall and the MACA Tigers picked up the 71-61 win. Thanks to 27 points from Alex Asmus, 17 from Tyson Grove and 13 from Jonah Huebner. With the win, MACA moves to 11-0 to start the season.
