The 9F Sportsmen’s Club concluded their 2026 season on Sunday, Aug. 23. A tournament was held with about 10 teams participating. A noon lunch was held. There was a short business meeting and a motion was passed to buy a new pat trap thrower replacing the old throwing in trap No. 1. The drawing for the raffle of the Berretta shotgun was won by Brad Krosch. The Moose Island Raiders were announced the 2026 league champions. Patches were handed out along with “Top Gun” honors. Winner of the Top Gun belt buckle was Colten Gillespie shooting 244 targets of 250. Second place went to Ryan Smith shooting 241. There was a double elimination tournament held and after a long hard battle it ended up in a tie between the Moose Island Raiders and the 9F Sportsmen’s Club teams. A shoot off was held and the Moose Island Raiders were victorious with a four target cushion. We would like to thank everyone who participated and to all the volunteers who made this a very enjoyable summer at the 9F. We have our new 9F sign erected along Highway 59 and are looking forward to the 2027 season.
