The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tiger softball team ended the regular season with two wins in a home round robin tournament Saturday, May 20 to finish the regular season 17-2. The Tigers opened the Section 3AA playoffs as the top seed in the North subsection, beating No. 8 Montevideo and No. 5 Litchfield Tuesday, May 23, in Morris.
The Tigers, 19-2, continued their run in the playoffs against No. 3 Jackson County Central Saturday, May 27, at the Marshall High School softball complex in Marshall.

Nora Boyle threw a gem, allowing just two hits in five innings, to help No. 1-seeded Morris/C-A shutout No. 8-seeded Montevideo 10-0 in the opening round of Section 3AA play Tuesday, May 23, at Holmberg Field in Morris.
The Tiger offense fired up in the first inning with two runs, added seven in the second and another in the third despite just recording five hits in the win.
Lauren Hottovy drove in two on an error while Cate Kehoe had a three-run homer in the bottom of the second.
Morris/C-A 7, Litchfield 3
MACA withstood a comeback in the final innings to pull out a 7-3 win over No. 5 Litchfield in round two of the Section 3AA playoffs Tuesday, in Morris.
The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead with three runs in the third inning. Mackenzie Konz scored on a wild pitch and Lauren Hottovy was plated on a passed ball, giving the Tigers a 2-0 lead before Kortney Sanasack drove in the inning’s third run.
MACA led 7-0 before Litchfield got on the board with two runs in the sixth inning. The Dragons added a third run in the seventh on a double, but two strikeouts from Nora Boyle ended the threat and game.
Haley Kill earned the win in the circle, going 6.1 innings and giving up three earned runs on five hits. She walked two and struck out five before Boyle struck out two of the final three batters she faced.
Brianna Marty and Kortney Sanasack both had two hits while Haley Kill drove in two runs with a double.
