Now into the Fourth of July break, the Morris Eagles have yet to lose in the 2025 season through 11 games. In the past four games, the Eagles have picked up wins over Dumont, Wahpeton, Minneota and Chokio. Morris hosted Wahpeton in Morris June 20 and came away with a 6-1 win. In a Land O’ Ducks league game against the Dumont Saints, Morris earned a 4-3 win at home June 21. Next, the team picked up a 4-2 close win over the Minneota Mudhens on the road June 29. Just before the break, Morris was on the road against Chokio July 2 and ran away with a 17-4 win in seven innings.

Morris picked up their ninth straight win to start the season when they hosted the Wahpeton Wahppers in Morris. The Eagles jumped on Wahpeton early in the game and cruised their way to a 6-1 victory to hang another win on the board.
After a feeling out inning in the first, Morris got on the board in the bottom of the third with four runs and added another in the fourth to take a 5-0 advantage. The lead grew even more when the Eagles scored another run in the seventh to make it 6-0. The Wahppers did ruin the shutout bid for Morris by scoring one run in the top of the seventh, but the Eagles still earned a comfortable five-run win.
Morris had the advantage in the hitting department with 12 total hits, compared to seven for the Wahppers. Mac Beyer, Ozzy Jerome and Brett Hansen all had mutli-hit games for the Eagles. Beyer was 2 for 4 with a double and a run. Jerome went 2 for 4 with a run and Hansen was also 2-4.
Nate Haseman got the start and win on the mound, pitching five innings and allowing no runs off five hits and striking out four.

Morris came into the game with a perfect 5-0 league record, leading the Land O’ Ducks – Wood League, but Dumont was right on their heels with 4-1 league record in a battle for the top of the league. The Saints held a lead as late as the ninth inning, but thanks to Brett Hansen scoring the winning run on an error, the Eagles came away with a 4-3 win over the Saints.
It was a big night for the Morris Eagles with the Bald Eagles kicking off the night with a win over Fergus Falls. Then, Eagle legend Chris Jergenson and Jarrett Barber, representing Dumont, threw out the first pitch.
After two scoreless innings, Dumont finally broke the ice with a run in the top of the third to take a 1-0 advantage. Morris got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with a run of their own to tie the game. The Saints responded with a run in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead. In the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eagles were still trailing by two runs. Thanks to three errors and two walks from Dumont, Morris scored three runs to steal a 4-3 win over the Saints at home.
Ozzy Jerome led the team on offense, finishing the game 2 for 4 with a double. Tanner Picht was 1 for 4 and Mac Beyer went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
Brandon Jergenson got the start on the mound and pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs off 10 hits and struck out seven. Hansen pitched the final three innings and allowed no runs off one hit and struck out three.

In one of their closest matchups of the season, the Eagles were on the road against the Minneota Mudhens. Morris was able to stay undefeated as they escaped Minneota with a 4-2 win.
The Eagles wasted no time getting on the board with a run in the top of the first inning. The Mudhens were able to tie the game with a run of their own in the bottom of the third. Morris took the lead back for good in the top of the fourth inning by scoring two runs to make it 3-1. Both teams scored one run in the fourth inning to push the score to 4-2. Over the final four innings, neither team was able to score and the Eagles earned the 4-2 win.
Mac Beyer led the team on offense, finishing the game 2 for 4 with a homer, two RBI and a run scored. Jerome, Hansen, Jergenson, Eric Asche, Jake Torgerson and Jonah Huebner all recorded one hit for the Eagles.
Hansen earned the win on the mound for Morris, pitching five innings and allowing no earned runs off five hits and striking out three.

Morris only needed seven innings to take care of the Coyotes in Chokio last week. The Eagles finished the game with a slough of hits and were also hit by pitches multiple times. They took advantage of all the baserunners and quickly dispatched the Coyotes to improve to 11-0 on the season.
Game stats were not available at the time of print. The Eagles were back in action July 6 when they were on the road against the Clinton Cards. Next on the schedule for Morris will be a game against the Dawson Drakes at home on Wednesday, July 16.
