On Tuesday October 20, Morris Area Schools once again entered the Hybrid Model for learning.
This means that students in grades 7-12 will be on an A-B schedule. In the first week, students in the “A” group will attend in person Tuesday and Wednesday and students in the “B” group will attend Thursday and Friday.
Elementary students will continue to come to the school with larger classrooms for learning. Further information will be sent out later.
Superintendent Troy Ferguson sent a letter to Morris Area Schools Stakeholders on Oct. 19, explaining that the recent surge in active COVID-19 cases in the community triggered another meeting of the District’s Incident Response Team and the Regional Support Team. After considering several sources of data it was decided to move to the Hybrid Learning Model.
Ferguson added that they will continue to monitor the situation weekly and work through the established process and information to make decisions moving forward.
