After 91 years in business, Eul’s Hardware Hank in downtown Morris is for sale. Store owner Kathy Bouta says that it is time to retire; however, she hopes to sell the business and building to a future Hardware Hank owner. “If that does not materialize, we have other choices,” says Bouta. Having been in Morris for nearly a century, Kathy and her family have witnessed many local businesses come and go, and she hopes to continue seeing the trend of new businesses opening up in town.
Kathy is the third generation owner of the store, and has many family members working for the store. For the past nine decades, Eul’s has not only been a run of the mill hardware store, but also a one stop shop for many other services such as their window and screen repair and their famous toy land in the lower level.
Kathy says, “I am so thankful for all the support and all our customers over the years. Thank you, thank you.”
