No tricks, no treats, no prizes? Children in the area may be looking at a different type of Halloween this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The typical Halloween party gatherings and costume contests will not be held or will be restrictive in nature. Therefore the Stevens County Times would like to introduce a ‘new’ type of Halloween costume contest. One that will be held through submitted photos to the newspaper.
The contest will run through October 20 after which time judges will be looking at the submitted entries. Parents can take a picture of their child in costume, submit it along with the child’s name and age to the Times. Emailed entries are required and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Winning pictures and names will be printed in the October 27 issue.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in four age groups. These will include 0-2 years old, 3-5 years old, 6-8 years old and 9-12 years old. All entries will receive a Halloween gift bag, simply for entering the contest.
Get your child dressed up, snap a picture and enter them in this COVID-19 Special Halloween Costume Contest.
