On Thursday, January 28th, 2021 LaVon Kay Beseman (Solvie), age 61, passed away surrounded by her family after a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer.
LaVon was born July 20, 1959 to Duane K. And Norma J. Solvie formerly of Cyrus, MN. Her love for music introduced her to her husband and love of her life Terry C. Beseman whom she met in college choir. They had three wonderful children: Troy, Tracy, and Trisha. While living in Morris, LaVon owned a fabric store with her mom and then did daycare for 20 years where she built loving relationships with many of the children and families.
In 2005, Terry and LaVon moved to Blaine, MN where they both worked at the University of Minnesota and were able to have lunch together every day. LaVon was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer in May 2015. She took her diagnosis as her mission to love, witness, and pray for as many people as she could. The way she did it was so nurturing and loving that people gravitated to her. During her journey she was a fierce prayer warrior for others, and she experienced many miracles. In 2016, she left the University to become a full time nana to her grandchildren. She spent her days caring for 3 granddaughters and her evenings watching her grandsons play sports. Her final request is for everyone to know that God is good and He is still on the throne!
LaVon is preceded in death by her father, Duane K. Solvie. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Terry C. Beseman of Anoka, MN; three children, Troy (Najla) Beseman of Arden Hills, MN; Tracy (Ross) Peters of Anoka, MN; Trisha (Nathan) Helland of St. Michael, MN; 9 grandchildren, Isaac, Caleb, Josh, Kaylee, Willow, Chloe, Karissa, Brooke, and Kaia; her mother, Norma J.
