Robbie grew up in Long Prairie before settling in Morris as a youth. He then moved to Arizona , where he stayed for 13 years and gave up the sunshine for snow when he returned to Minnesota. He held a variety of jobs, including self-employed house painter, caretaker, OTR truck driver for FedEx and finally, returning to Morris, where he worked as a custodian at the high school here for five years.
Rob is survived by his wife, Diane, two daughters, four grandkids and three faithful canine companions, as well as two brothers, Darrin and Michael, a step sister Tammy, mother Carol Deseth and Diane’s children and grandchildren. Many friends have called him, “brother” and not a finer person would befit that title.
Rob’s heart was huge and although he struggled with health issues for many years, he still had an open heart for all he met. May he rest in forever peace!
