Funeral services for Susan Ronning of Morris, MN will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN, with Reverend Roger Fears officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Good Shepard Lutheran Cemetery, rural Appleton.

Susan Marie Ronning, daughter of Orwald and Lucille (Hovde) Ronning, was born April 14, 1949 in Appleton, Minnesota. She attended Drywood Country School and later graduated from Appleton High School. Following her schooling, Susan moved to San Francisco, CA, where she worked at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company for several years. Susan returned to Minnesota and attended Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. Susan made her career as a Computer Technician for Bookman Publishing in Minneapolis. Following her retirement, Susan returned to Appleton, MN before making her home in Morris. She continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.

Susan was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She enjoyed all animals, playing cards, golfing, and cheering for the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. One of her favorite memories was backpacking through Europe. Most of all, Susan enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Susan died at her home in Morris on Saturday, August 15, 2020. She was 71 years old.

She is survived by her sister: Mary Lee (Louis) Vann of Stillwater; niece: Laura (Aaron) Connor of Minneapolis; great-nephew: Oskar Connor; aunt: Mildred Peck of International Falls; uncles: Edward Hovde of Seattle, WA, Gordan Hovde of Bemidji, Donald (Elaine) Hovde of Puposky and Arthur Hovde of Bemidji and several cousins, other relative and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; favorite uncle, Clifford Ronning and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
