Pauline Carr

Pauline Carr passed away on June 11, 2024 at Legacy Homes in Morris, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carr. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Randy) Swanhorst of Deerwood, and Kathy (Jason) Dingman of Morris, grandchildren Derek (Molly) Swanhorst, Katie (Taylor Grogan) Swanhorst, Ryan and Emma Dingman and two new great granddaughters: Stella Swanhorst and Callahan Grogan and that’s it” is what Mom told me to write in her obituary, soon before she passed. 😊 But she was much more than that! She grew up in Hebron, Indiana and met Dad at a resort in northern Minnesota when she came up fishing with her family, getting engaged a WEEK after she met him. She was a kind mother who put everyone else before herself. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was so excited that she was able to meet her two new great-granddaughters before she died. She specifically told me to not name off all the dogs they had over the years, so here goes: Rusty, Penny, Copper, Frisky, Kia, Curly and Jacky-Boy. She loved dogs, as well as gardening, cooking and reading.

She was loved wholeheartedly and we will miss her so much.

A private family ceremony will take place in Bemidji in the fall.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to Knute Nelson Home Health Care and Hospice in Alexandria, who helped her final days be more comfortable.
