First win in a decade came for the Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta boys swim and dive team Tuesday, Jan. 21, against Perham at the Regional Fitness Center in Morris.
Winning a meet has been a goal for head coach Anita Nelson since first starting to rebuild the small program eight years ago.
“I teared up at the end, and the boys were looking at me to see what my reaction was. They thought we lost given the look on my face, I didn’t want to tell them, I wanted to wait for them to hear the announcement. The reaction was worth the wait and wonder for them,” Nelson said.
