Karly Fehr, Morris native and a 2018 graduate of Morris Area, was one of four Eagle volleyball players to be named a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete honor announced by the association Nov. 16.
To be eligible for this award, the athletes need a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale. Northwestern is one of 17 institutions to have women’s volleyball athletes recognized with this honor.
Fehr is a junior at the University of Northwestern, in St. Paul.
She has been limited on the volleyball court in her years as an Eagle due to several injuries, including a hip surgery this past August due to an injury sustained from the 2019 volleyball season.
“I have struggled with injuries since I have been at college,” Fehr said in an interview with the Stevens County Times.
