The Hancock Orphans are now 2-2 in non-tournament play and 3-5 overall after two wins this past weekend. Hancock beat Madison Friday, July 10 and Appleton Saturday, July 11.

The Orphans look to finish up the regular season at Minneota July 17 and against Chokio July 19, in Hancock.
Hancock 2, Madison 1
Hancock beat out a pitcher’s duel 2-1 Friday, July 10, in Madison. Preston Rohloff tossed six strong innings to earn the win while Chad Christianson picked up the save for the Orphans.
Bryan Shaw and Preston Rohloff had three hits each in the win and Andrew Shaw went 2-for-5 with a run scored.
Hancock 3, Appleton 2
Hancock earned a 3-2 win over the Appleton A’s on Saturday, July 11, in Hancock. Collin Brown went the distance to earn the win on the mound.
Brandon Shaw had a RBI double in the first inning and later scored to give Hancock a 2-0 lead after one. The Orphans extended that lead with a run in the seventh. The A’s added their only two runs of the game in the ninth and came up short of the comeback.
