Tigers in state track and field
The track and field season reached its exciting peak over the weeknd with state competition at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Alexis “Lexi” Ekren finished eighth out of 16 discus throws with her throw of 115-10, which is her personal best. Her second throw was her best, which moved her into the finals and captured a state medal and a spot on the victory stand.

What a finale for A. Cunningham: No. 6 in MN Class ‘A’ long jump
Coachable athlete sets example with performance, commitment
Allie Cunningham capped her long and successful track and field career as an Owl with a sixth place state finish. The accomplishment came this past weekend at the National Sports Center in Blaine, which hosts hordes of fans for the very exciting state meet.
The #6 finish is cause for satisfaction, but in reflection, coach Lynn Nelson emphasized “what a great kid Allie is, a phenomenal athlete.”
