The MACA girls basketball team has been on a bit of a roll lately, recently recording their fifth win in six games. The team started the week on the road against the 18-4 KMS Saints and fell 73-54 Feb. 2. There was no rest for the Tigers as they went on the road to play the 17-4 BOLD Warriors Feb. 6 and they picked up a 65-62 win over BOLD. The 1-1 week moved MACA to 11-8 overall and 6-3 in the West Central Conference.

The Tigers hung with the strong 18-4 KMS Saints in the first half, but the Tigers ran out of steam and lost 73-54 on the road against KMS.
Through seven minutes of play, Mylie Fehr was the only Tiger to score, but she did have nine points and the team was only down a point to the Saints. The lid came off the basket for the rest of the Tigers and they were able to take a 25-23 lead with four minutes left in the half. KMS finished the half on a 12-2 run to take a 35-27 lead over the Tigers into the break. Mylie Fehr already had recorded a double-double at halftime for MACA.
The Tigers stayed within single digits four minutes into the second half, but KMS started to create some distance on the scoreboard. The lead crept above 20 points with seven minutes left and KMS was able to cruise in for a 73-54 win over the Tigers.
Mylie Fehr led the team with 23 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, with 14 points and 11 rebounds coming in the first half. Chloe Fehr was the only other player in double figures, finishing with 13 points and four steals. Sam Konz had seven points and six rebounds and Addison Cihak added six points and 10 rebounds.

MACA was able to complete a season sweep of the BOLD Warriors when the Tigers went on the road and snuck away with a 65-62 victory behind 21 points from Chloe Fehr.
BOLD came into the game with a 17-4 record with one of those losses coming against MACA. The Warriors were receiving votes to be ranked in the top-10 in Class A, but the TIgers were able to earn their second win over the Warriors, making two of the five losses for BOLD coming against MACA.
The Tigers finished the game with three players in double figures. Chloe Fehr led the squad with 21 points. Cihak chipped in with 10 points and Konz also scored 10 points off two three-pointers. Mylie Fehr added eight points, Mia Lu Asche scored seven and Leah Berlinger finished with six to round out the scoring for MACA.
The team was back in action Feb. 9 at home against Hancock and on the road Feb. 10 against West Central Area. Next on the schedule, MACA will be back at home against Sauk Centre Friday, Feb. 13.
